I don't see where a GatorBox is going to help you much here. It is a piece of bridge hardware that would let you connect a localTalk machine to an Ethernet network. Software for it is built into the EEPROMs on the machine itself, unless the idiot selling it flashed those, you shouldn't need any software but the admin program that you use to configure it. That is kind of hard to find, but I have a copy I'll email you if you go this route.
Someone else mentioned getting an Ethernet card for the IIci, those are easy and readily available, I'd recommend that. If you are going to do file sharing, you'll need some software on one of the computers, the easiest to acquire is probably PC-Mac LAN <www.miramar.com>, I think you can d/l a trial copy.
