Most likely nothing, unless the DIP ROM chips are
missing. ;)

With the lid off and the front of the IIci towards
you, look to the left of the SIMM slots for a small
square of silver solder bumps. If that spot is empty
you can use either parity or non parity SIMMs. If you
don't see any empty square, you'll need parity SIMMs.

Yes, that's true. I dunno how much difference it
actually makes though. The IIsi has basically the
same RAM setup as the IIci, but its Bank A is soldered
and fixed at 1meg. There is a IIsi RAM Muncher INIT
that fills up all of the 1meg not used by the video
buffer. Thus it improves performance by ensuring that
no code which needs CPU attention is in there. Doesn't
work on the IIci though.
