As a mac user you wont think much of Shapeshifter.
Try Basilisk rather than ShapeShifter or give me a yell for a link to fusion.
You will find your mac emulation will work as well as the real thing providing you don't wont networking. This will require a gfx card or pcmica network card in a 1200 if you do, while running in the macs multiscan desktop.

Shapeshifter does transfer files much easier and running in 4 colour, its not slow so it does make a good utility program. At least your in the right part of the world to play with the amiga.
