Hello,

is ther a FAQ that tells you how to copy one harddrive to another? I
have a 40mb that I want to copy to a 700mb. Will all the aliases I have
set up for other external drives still work?

Thank you.

Hi,
I solved the problem last night. :-)
I took an external HDD that I had, copied it all onto the internal HDD on

the IIci and then performed a clean install of Mac OS 7.6.1 onto it. I
was
then reading the pickles FAQ and found that key combo that forces the mac
to
boot of a different disc. I set it's SCSI to 3 (CC has no CD and my
external
CD SCSI ID can be changed) and told it to boot off that. It worked. There

didn't seem to be anything wrong with the original system folder but I
deleted it and replaced it with a copy of the one on my external HDD. It
works now and is happy.

Now I can move onto fixing my LC475. :-)

Anyone know why my SE won't boot of my OS 6.0.8 Floppy? I'l just do the
"Boot from other SCSI drive" trick until i get a torx screwdriver long
enough to open it and install the HDD.

All is good :-)

Dan
