Hi!

As this is my first ever post to a group I hope that you will pardon any
gaffes in Nettiquette. I have listed my setup looking for any input that might
make it operate at its best. It is replacing my Imac and so far seems much
more interesting and fun.

Mac IIci

CPU ------------ Daystar 68030 50 mz
FPU ------------ Motorola 68882
CRT ----- MO-401 RGB (Rev A)
Display Card Apple 8/24
Display Card RasterOps 24STV 2.0
HD -------------- Dynatek 170Mb 1.3.0 (Fujitsu M2614S v606)
RAM ------------ Physical 20 Mbs + RamDoubler
CD -------------- Apple 300
ZIP -------------- 100 SCSI
HD/ Spare ---- Quantum Fireball 1280s
Video Expander II and MediaGrabber

With the great help supplied by the Pickle FAQ and its lead to the Gamba site
I was able to get what I needed to initialise the Fujitsu (7.3.5 with patch)
and install OS 7.6.1 and also a missing control panel to enable the DayStar Card.
I have since added a Farralon ethernet card and D-Link 4 port router, then
hooked the IIci with an Imac, thats in another room to cable internet and to
each other with Appleshare. I am using Netscape 4.0.4 for both browsing and
email as I cant seem to install any version of Eudora. I then had the Dynatek
replaced with a Seagate 1.2 gb ST51080N and added 16 mbs of ram. Added an
Apple Colour Plus 14. Its great to be able to run the main window of a
program on one monitor and the menus etc on the other. Next I was given a
snarling ImageWriter II which was fine as I only use black ink and the $6.99
Cdn. price of a tape sure beats the cost of ink for my Imacs Epson 740 and
lastly I wanted Photoshop to use with RasterOps and was able to get it by
buying an Avec Colour 2400 Scanner for $50 Cdn. with Vers. 2.5 LE installed.

Any insights or comments re better browsing or using Eudora. Also suggestions
for importing S-Video or Composite into MediaGrabber would be apprecitated as
I have no experience with it or the Video Expander II.

TIA
Gil
