The links without anything - i.e., bare links, like

http://whatever

work just fine in all versions of Eudora from 3 on up; not sure if they work in
earlier versions or not. Bare links also work fine in most other modern
clients. The problem with them arises when lines wrap in the middle of the
link, because most clients don't read the portion of the link after the line
break.

The links with <>, like the links in the list footers, all work fine in every
single e-mail client I've ever seen. They do NOT have a problem with line
breaks because the e-mail client interprets everything between the <> as a link
and disregards white space.

The links with underscores almost universally fail; as I said, I've yet to see
one that *does* work properly. They have the same problems bare links have but
with the additional issue of having a trailing _ at the end of the link, making
most browsers confused as hell and generating lots of nice 404s :)

Post bare links if you don't want to post links with <>.
