Those links aren't the ones in question.  The post before that had the
following link in it:

Note the underscores before and after the link.

Darren fixed it on the next post by posting bare links, which do indeed work
fine.

My guess is that whenever a space is entered as part of a link, his e-mail
client automatically converts it to an underscore, and therein lies the
problem, because as I told him offlist, that link is the *only* one of his I've
*ever* seen that didn't work.

However, older e-mail clients don't deal with bare links well, which is why I
continue to put <> around them if I know they're going to line-wrap.
