I have a IIci that refuses to shut down. I go through the shutdown
procedure, the screen blanks and it shuts off for a split second then boots
right back up . . . over and over again. It doesn't matter if I'm running OS
6.08 or 7.1. This all started when, one night a few months ago at about 3am
I heard a chime in the middle of the night. My IIci had spontaneously turned
itself on!?? Ever since then, the only way to turn it off has been to cut
power to it? I have hypothesized three causes:

1. My PRAM battery is bad (I remember reading about this long ago)
2. My screen saver is bad or my sleep program is somehow involved
3. A mischievous insect has somehow bridged the power circuit/switch so the
CPU is always powered up.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?
