Hmmm, no setting for Drive supplies Own and Bus? (Most SCSI drives I've had have had that setting too.) Oh well, the safest solution is Drive supplies Own termination power. The Mac supplies termination power to the bus, and you can set one other device to supply termination power to the bus. On SCSI/SCSI II or any other version of SCSI using the same type of 50 pin cable, you're not supposed to have more than two devices supplying termination power to the bus. One is normally the Host Adapter (the computer) and the other can be any device on the bus but is generally one of the end/terminated ones. Most (all?) PowerBooks with SCSI do NOT supply termination power to the SCSI bus so at least one SCSI device (if more than one is connected to the external port) must supply it to the bus. If only one external device is connected it may be set to supply termination power only to itself. ===== "When you are wrestling for possession of a sword, the man with the handle always wins."
