Hi everybody,
This is the first time I've posted to this group.
Anyway I thought I'd add to the comments about the IIfx memory
identification. I have three of these machines two have 8 x 1mb but the
third has 4 x 16mb and 4 x 1mb. There is a big difference between the two
sizes. The 1mb modules have 8 simms on one side and look very much like a
normal 72 pin item. The 16mb modules are very tall and only just fit inder
the drive deck. Over twice as tall as the 1mb. They have 32 simms plus 6
other little chips on them. Printed on them is "Lifetime memory products
copyright 1991" and "P/N 10111 REV N/C".
I realise these are only one manufacturers product and there could be other
versions but I hope this information is helpful.
I enjoy reading all the stuff from this group and find the software
information very useful. We have some very clever people out there helping
us get the best from our old machines. Thank you.
Best regards Tony
