No problem at all. The SCSI ID should even be correct, as most Macs set 
the SCSI ID of the CD-ROM to 3. I have swapped the front bezels between 
840AVs and 8500s. All seem to be interchangeable. You could make a 
"stealth" machine by just changing the case!
