Hi all. I just recently acquired a Mac Classic II and have set it up next to my emac. I'm interested in setting it up to handle word processing, email, ad maybe play a few of the older games on it. My specific issues include:
1. How do I get this guy on ethernet? I've seen adapters, but it's hard to tell which I should go with? How fast of a connection can I expect on a 10mbs line? Should I go with a scsi or localtalk adapter? 2. Is system 6.08 feasible in a networked environment? Will it handle tcp/ip? I've heard that 6 is wicked fast on an 030, and would get a kick out of using the first Mac Os I ever used next to the latest and greatest I use now. Are there any resources for setting up 6 to handle a modern network environment? How bout Webserving? -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
