There were Powermacs and clones with NuBus slots, they've nada to do with the 68k line except for the ability to run apps written to run on a 68k CPU. > There is room for another cache card, I see. The IIci has one cache slot, which can be used for the Apple 32K cache card, 3rd party 128K cache cards or 3rd party 68k and PPC 601 CPU upgrades. The only reason to stick with a 7.5.x System/MacOS lower than 7.5.5 is if you have some hardware or software that Apple broke compatability with in 7.5.5. There was quite a bunch that crapped out at 7.5.2, much of that was fixed with patches, updates or new drivers. Then Apple did it again with 7.5.3. Again many of the 3rd party vendors did updates, but many threw in the towel after the second or third time of having to fix things Apple shouldn't have broken. With 128 megs RAM in a IIci, you don't need virtual memory turned on, not even with Mac OS 7.6, not even with a Daystar Turbo 601 running Mac OS 8.x. :) ===== It WAS total Fandemonium! http://www.fandemonium.org Didn't go?
