I have a System 7.5.5 talking to OSX using Appletalk. It works pretty well. I make sure file sharing is turned on and then I just go into Network in OSX and browse the System 7.5.5 machine and get in that way. I also reverse and use Appleshare to browse the OSX machine and access the OSX machine that way.
