Hiss of death, <rofl>. I've done it as well, on a nice pristine SE/30 monitor because I was in too much of a hurry to work on it. Guess that's why I'm a bit overly cautious now. I have had two Classic macs come in with broken tubes and neither look like they had been opened so I can only guess that rough handling was the cause. On a different note, had been using an SE/30 as a server and notice even with the screen brightness dialed down there is burn in. Guess that makes sense as the gun is still firing at the screen even though you can't see it.....now where did I put my copy of Neko.....
