I'd have to agree, you're out of luck. ADB mice and keyboards can't be
that hard or expensive to find second hand.
Sadly, this appears to be true (at least for the keyboard). It is
possible to get a PS2-to-ADB adapter for the mouse
only. Unfortunately, the folks who developed it decided that keyboard
support wasn't worth adding. If the mouse-only solution lets you use
something that helps, here it is: http://www.geethree.com/p_ADB.html
If anybody does know of any other X-to-ADB adapters, I'd love to hear
about it (but I know better than to hope very much)...

New (old!) information on this topic. During an unrelated Ebay search, I found that Belkin does indeed make a PS/2-to-ADB adapter as an accessory for their Omniview KVM switches- and this accessory adapts not only the PS/@ keyboard and mouse, but also the video to a VGA. They aren't cheap, but they apparently do do the trick. Do a search on Belkin F1D080... I intend to get one of these to try with my small PS/2 touchpad keyboard.
