could it possibly be that if people are content with the preformance of an
older computer that they can buy for next to nothing and systems that they
can download for free, they won't shell out the money of the new ones?
Apple makes no money off of computers sold second, third, fourth hand nor
off of free downloadable obsolete software.
math: 1 person x profit from new computer + profit from systems and
software = money
10 people x profit from new computer + profit from systems and
software = 10 x money
100 people x profit from new computer + profit from systems and
software = 100 x money
1000 people x profit from new computer + profit from systems and
software = 1000 x money
when the obsolete creates competition for the new, make the obsolete as
inaccessible and un useable as posssible to increase the demand for the new
that is for sale and profit
