I was recently given a Mac LC, by a friend, after
his wife, and Educator, was unsuccessful in donating
it to a local school district. I was advised by my
friend that it is a total piece of junk, and not to
expect anything worthwhile off of it.
I read the reviews on it, and I think I understand
it's limitations. I fired it up, and found it has Ms
Works, Quicken, Appleworks, Simcity, and a few other
programs running under 6.07. Oh, it also has AOL
version 2, but I doubt it will run on the internet.
I can use it for wordprocessing and basic
financial bookkeeping.
It certainly is better than the SE I have sitting
on my floor-also given to me for free.
Question: where does one find software for an old Mac?
This machine, of course, only has one floppy drive.
Thanks,
Matt
