I'm playing with Quadra 950's at the moment. I
believe they pre-date
"SCSI Manager 4.3" in their ROM. But I read that
this was added to OS
7.5 onwards.
It was only present as an extention in 7.5. From 7.5.1
onwards it's integrated into the System file, but only
if the 040 Mac the OS is installed on doesn't have it
in ROM.
Thanks! That's very clear.
Related to this, the DayStar Turbo 601 upgrade for
the IIci and other 030 Macs has SCSI Manager 4.3 in
its ROM and the control panel has a switch to enable
or disable it.
So what about the Apple 601 upgrade for the Quadra (running at 66MHz)?
I've also got one of those in my Q950.
