Er. Who are Pontiac and what's a G6? Is this a car company? I seem to recall a model of huge silly American car called a Pontiac something-bird from years ago. Firebird? That sounds about right. The biggest vacuum cleaner in Europe these days is the Dyson, tho' Hoover remains very well known, and Electrolux. Who'd have guessed at so many differences? I'm guessing Apple will drop the "Power" part of the name, and revert to just "Macintosh". I fear there may well be an "Intel Inside" logo or sticker, though, since Intel hand out considerable marketing money to anyone using this. And it's a good brand - from a standing start in the late 1990s, Intel went from a completely unknown name outside tech circles to a household word inside 3yr, due to /massive/ ad spend. It ended up right up there with Marlboro and Coca-Cola. So, the new Macintosh. But what kind of model designator? I really cannot guess. The G-designation's been closely tied to the generaion of PowerPC inside. I /think/ they'll drop that.
