The Dreamcast looked pretty nice and I was going to
get one to play around with (when you're old and
single you do those things) but they discontinued it
when I was ready to get one! In particular there was a
really good football game that was developed with
Jerome Bettis of the Steelers (I'm from Pittsburgh so
I would have appreciated it)...I remember hearing
about it on the news.

Sega really needed a Steve Jobs to turn their company
around...the Saturn if I can recall was a flop and the
Play Station outsold it big time (but the Nintendo 64
was still better). If they had found someone like
Steve to invent the equivalent of the iMac or iPod
they may still be developing DreamCast 2 or even 3
today.

If Apple tried to enter the video game market again
they may be able to if they somehow integrate the iPod
with the system since the iPod is what is driving the
company right now. Tell your PC friends that Apple has
80% of the market share...just don't mention that it's
in MP3 players.

And just so I don't get off topic since this is a
vintage Mac list--I guess we could say when the
DreamCast was discontinued everyone out there got
"IIvx-ed".
