Thanks for the response, Jeff. I really don't think low batteries
would give the death chime either. I tested a IIfx board with no
batteries and it would not power on. This is consistent with what I've
read here on the lists, the internet, et. al.

I have also tried to run the system with a monitor attached in hopes
that I could get a Sad Mac with an error code. No such luck; the
monitor does not get a signal from the video card (a known working
card) and therefor doesn't power on. Even tried to reseat the RAM.
Nothing.

I am at a loss on what to do. Should I just trash the board and get
another one? Does anyone have a spare, working II logic board that
they could sell me? I'd hate to just throw in the towel on this, but I
have nothing to go on as far as making a fix.
