Hey John,
Don't know where you heard that
"Since you can't run ammonia
refrigerators while in motion.....,"
but during our three month trip
from Upstate New York to Oregon
and back, our ammonia refrigerator
ran non-stop. The extent of my
maintenance was to clean the burner
with compressed air the first week.
After that, the refrigerator kept
the box temperature at 35-42. It always
had that reassuring buzzing sound that
comes with a happy, blue flamed burner.
