Just got back from a week long trip with our '65 Caravel behind a '96
Ford F-150 6 cyl PU. Went over the Cascades between Calif & Oregon &
back again. Would not recommend trying it it a 4cyl Previa. If I
remember right, it has about a 2800# rating, the 6 cyl 3500#. The
Caravel, contents & truck contents was about 3800#. I was in 3rd gear
at 45 MPH on the long grades, and the F-150 handled the I-5 semi's &
Benicia gale force winds fine, but right at the limit of comfort. It
would have been one scary trip in a 4cyl Previa. Go for a PU, or bigger
SUV if there is more than 2 of you.

I'm setting up our 2001 Mitsubishi Montero to tow right now, and will
report how that works next month.
