So the latches must already be compatible (meaning the doors will stay safely shut). The other differences are pretty much cosmetic...easy enough to drill bigger holes for the wide trim strip clips if that hasn't been done already. `66 and `67 external door handles that work are few and far between and repros aren't available - probably why the doors were changed. Few outside of the car-show circuit will care.
