Tim,

I had figured my post got buried as list traffic has picked up so I had
bumped it.

I am not too sure if all the woodslat racks were Bekowas. I had thought a
Bekowa looked like this:

Whereas I refer to this kind:

I have the ten slat rack in the second link which is cooler than the all metal
one I think.

Now here are the dimensions I need:

1. The thickness of the thin wirelike pieces which make up those triangles on
the sides. I had mine thrown away by the guy repairing them and he put in
thinner ones. (the 'legs' of the rack had been cut to accomodate it atop a
Mazda. Thus these triangles had to be shortened). I need to know the correct
thickness as I want to be as close to it as possible.

2. The exact distance between the three 'legs' on each side. Again, this had
been repaired with a thicker piece grafted in for making up for the cut
section. I guess we were not perfect due to the hammering which took place
here. Need to have the exact measurements so Im closer to original.

Maybe something else too......Ill ask later.

While on the subject of roofracks, I must also ask whether racks meant for
sedans and ragtops were the same of not.

TIA
Asad.
