My son has a pair of those Smart Car 175/55-15s on the front of his drag car. They're actually a little wide for a stock 4½" rim, but not too bad. The big issue is that they are only 22.6" tall, compared to ~25.8" for a 165-15 or ~25.4" for a 165/80-15...that'll make about a 400 RPM difference in engine RPM at 60 MPH if you put them on the back. With them on the front, the speedometer error is significant (~14%).
