Check the little idle jet (at least I think that's 
what it is) on the upper part of the carb.  I 
think it's on the right side, but don't have one 
in front of me and it's been a while.  Should be a 
little brass nut- pull it out and clear out any 
goo in it and the hole.

The other possibility is a vacuum leak, too.  OR 
the idle cut-off solenoid isn't picking up- pull 
the wire off with the ignition on and listen for 
the click when it is reconnected.

Of course, something more serious might be the 
trouble, but I'd say you have a 90% chance that 
it's one of these three . . .
