Hi all, I wanted to thank everyone for ideas on why my '72 bug would idle but would die when I would try to move. I finally found the problem when I took the top of the carb and noticed the excelerator spout had black crud in the hole making the fuel spray off to one side. I cleaned it out so the gas would squirt down the carb. Now it runs great.
