Thanks for asking. I didn't bother using it for now, as I didn't want to 
spend some cash on a new idle cut off valve only to find out the engine was 
too far gone. So I just used another Brazilian 30 pict. They seem to be 
almost the same. There are just some small areas/parts that differ. I guess 
that is why it had an "S" appendage.

Once I swapped the carbs, the engine fired up and idled pretty well. It's 
missing some cooling tin, so I just shut it off after a few seconds so I 
won't fry it. Hopefully, I'll get the cooling tin by January and will do 
some real testing. I'll give you an update and possibly some pics of the 
carb and engine.

     Any updates on the new old carby??

     I hope you find some time to mess around with the old Brazilian unit 
and troubleshoot it at least for 'academic' purposes.
