An update: I checked in with a nearby State Farm agent and they could help
me with insurance. They offered -- and I accepted -- a "stated value"
policy, with mostly $500 deductibles but 100/300/100 coverages, for just
over $50 per six months. They don't offer some of the nice features that
the collector insurors do (e.g. guaranteed flatbed towing, guaranteeing
original parts, etc.) but they at least don't require a secure garage.
