Volks,
On my '70 police beetle, the two-way radio is being mounted behind the
opening for the glove compartment, leaving no clearance for the stock
hood-release lever. So I would like to re-locate the hood-release lever
assembly away from the left inside wall of the glove compartment to a
different place, possibly a horizontal area back underneath the dash.
I can punch and drill the necessary holes all right, but I'm sure there's
more involved. Does anybody have experience at doing this? Can you offer
any tips for a successful relocation, or cautions I need to be aware of?
I'd be grateful for tips or ideas.
