If the holes aren't too torn up and you can use a nibbler to make them square (you did say you wanted "working" rather than "original") then you may be able to use 12-24 or M-6 cage nuts to replace them. The M-6 is a bit larger, roughly equivalent to a 1/4-20 (.25") while the 12-24 is roughly .21".
