Volks,

In response to whelming public demand (one note), and in gratitude to Yves
Voyer for helping me re-constitute my display materials for the Copbug, I
have to give away the secret: The 16-page publication I've been hunting is
posted on The Samba. Yves sent it to me last year and I carefully
fabricated a plausible counterfeit, using the scanned facsimile at
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/misc.php. It's the 17th item
down the list - titled "
<http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/mcodes_12v.php> Police vehicle
and 12 volt reference M-codes 610,613, 623, and 633" - and it shows and
explains all the extra electrical stuff the 1967 police beetle package
received. I include it with display materials for my Copbug when I show it.
And now I have again reprinted the manual.

If anybody is interested, the extra stuff on cop bugs includes:

= second battery with isolator relay (under rear seat, driver side)

= 30-amp (450 watt) generator

= 12V 36aH battery

= zippers (3) in headliner

= fishing wires (3) through headliner from wiring area behind dash to zipper
areas

= steel conduit along frame tunnel from right foot area to under rear seat

= extra leads (4) in wiring harness from wiring area to engine compartment

= extra static suppression everyplace

= four-way warning flashers (not standard in European models)

= pre-laid coaxial cable for rooftop antenna, to radio area

Thanks a jillion to Yves for (again) pointing it out to me.

Enjoy!
