BavAuto sells a kit to treat chrome window trim. The trim on BMWs turns out the 
same way in less time.  Kit has some fine sandpaper and a bottle of what looks 
like clear coat or sealer. Bottle has a foam applicator attached that reminds 
me of kiwi shoe polish.  Kit was on clearance last I checked. I've got no 
experience with the stuff.
