I use the battery disconnect that you put on the battery it's self, you just
turn a knob and it's unhooked. Most people think that in a DC system such as a
car, the current flow is pos. to neg. this backwards. In a DC system the curent
flow is neg. towards pos. The disconnects I use are made to fit the neg. post
of the battery. So I would say put it on the neg. side. This way if something
should go wrong and it shorted to ground you would have no worry.
