Okay now I'm intrigued Bill. How do you go about building a 2332 SP. Are
you serious or joking with me here? Do they make larger SP heads for such
an application?

My gripes with the DTM Type 4 engine is that I can't have a thermostat. I
think that is pretty serious stuff as far as engine longevity goes. Also, I
gotta have a choke. I see why high performance VWs are favoured in southern
California and the Southwest because you don't have to fight cold weather
starting. The other thing is to add a primer like an aircraft has and start
it off of that and hope you don't flood it out. If I can come up with a
higher performance engine that has some really great grunt to get going and
then can maintain 65 to 70 on the highway, I'll be set.

Please elaborate on your SP comment. If you're not joking, where do I get
SP heads and an intake that will flow to match the displacement?
