I also like having the pictures in the attachment - my email client lets me download them or not based on the preferences, unlike my old command-line email program that I started with when I joined.
Perhaps we could just suggest a "vintagvw etiquette" whereby we send no more than a few images, and the total message should not to exceed 500K or something?
