Awhile back, I set up a FaceBook page where I could post pictures of various
Volkswagen police beetles, their histories, etc. Kinda to keep my “car
stuff” separate from personal stuff.
The photo albums are under “Copbug Polizeikäfer” on FaceBook, if anyone ever
wishes to sneak a peek.
I just learned that a Nashville-area suburban police department has put
three VW Passat TDI diesels on the street. I put a picture up of one.
They’ve got 10 months’ experience now and reportedly are satisfied. The
‘burb (Belle Meade, legally a “satellite city” inside Metro Nashville) is a
notorious speed trap, so I’m not all that enthusiastic, but … .
