Hey all,
After installing the voltage regulator and correct coil last night,
charging it up via jump, I was able to drive it almost to the nearest gas
station before it died on me.
So, I'm throwing in the towel. I'm taking it to a vw shop of my second
choosing (first one who was bound to be more reasonable on prices no longer
works on air cooled vws and recommended me to the vw shop of my second
choice.)
I'll let you know what I find out. I'm thinking it's the generator.
