Before suspecting the wiper motot I think you’ll want to get the blown fuse
sorted out first, then check for voltage at the wiper motor connector. I’ve
read that changing to a 12 volt motor also involves swapping out the linkage
etc. Is that correct, list?

The reason I asked about the fuse block photos was your mentioning that the
previous owner did a ‘poor’ job of the 12V conversion, I’m guessing that means
the wiring is shoddy.

To isolate which of the circuits on that blown fuse is causing the short, you
can use your voltmeter or a test light to find the ‘hot’ side of that fuse.
Disconnect the 3 (or 4) wires on the opposite (load) side of that fuse on the
fuse block. You can then either use an ohmmeter between each of those wires
and ground to look for the short, or if you have enough fuses try installing a
fresh fuse and re-connect one wire at a time until you find the one that blows
the fuse.

No, I haven't fixed the wiper issue yet and they are calling for more rain. A
minor question, if the wiper motor still works, would you be able to manually
move the wiper arms back and forth? I've noticed when it was working before, I
was able to do this, but now I am unable to.

I imagine it still is a 6 volt wiper motor. If it is the only thing that is 6
volt still in the car, should I just replace it with a 12 volt job?

I will take pictures, per request, zip them up and send them out.

No, my horn doesn't work anyhow because of the non stock steering wheel the
previous owner had put in.

My blinkers don't work, but the indicator light comes on steady, but they
blinkers don't.

Not sure about my brake lights. They may or may not be working. I drive only
around my small suburban town, so I don't know on that regards. I don't live
with a flat surface so I can't easily ascertain if the brake lights are
working.

His right side headlight was NOT working, but now it is again. I guess I will
take back the newly purchased one.

Wondering what else besides a wiper motor I may need to purchase for it to get
it fixed.
