I was wondering more about the thermal properties versus the durability. I know chrome, while it looks cool, actually adds more heat to the equation.
The reason why I'm asking is the recent engine fire I guess is an opportunity for me to do something with the fan shroud. I know of a local powder coater in town. I don't know of any local chrome shop or porcelain coating shop. But, if anybody has done this, I thought they might have pointers on it.
