Got my 66 back on the road again with help from a buddy of mine and his buddy at work.
Turns out, the distributor from RockAuto was bad. He is back to the quirky self he was before the fire. Takes off in gears 1-3, and doesn't want to idle after running. Still working on getting the fire cleaned up from the body metal itself. I can sand the engine deck lid, and the outside of the louvers below the rear window, but I'm at a loss as how to take care of what is inside of the louvers. Anybody have any experience with that? Also, has anybody tried steel wool to strip rust and paint? Does it work better than sandpaper and elbow grease?
