Good morning. I am considering selling our 1972 stock Bug which was purchased new by my father-in-law in TX in 72 so wife and I are second owners. My wife and I restored the car in early 2000 and it has 110,000 miles on it and is all original except for interior upholstery which we upgraded from square weave vinyl and other necessary mechanical part replacements. Engine has never been opened up and runs well. Car has been garaged since restoration but is driven weekly.
Being in Alabama there are not a lot of VW shops so what would listees recommend as the best way to get an appraised value for a possible sale as I don't really know what cars of similar age and quality are worth? Any advice would be most welcome.
