Hello,

Just so everyone is aware, this is normal behaviour, not a bug. When the 
proximity sensor activates, all input is blocked from the iPhone. The proximity 
sensor disables the touch-screen. When the headphone is plugged in, or when the 
iPhone is on speakerphone so away from your face, the touch-screen works and so 
do the braille displays.
