Hi Jenny, You can tell the calendar when to remind you about birthdays; if you enter them in Contacts, you'll be reminded at the time you specified.
I use the calendar to remind me a week ahead of time and then use an app called NeverMiss to remind me on the day. It takes the info from your contacts and reminds you on the day at whatever time you have specified. To enter a birthday in contacts, edit a contact, choose Add Fields (or a similar title) near the bottom of the list of fields, and locate the Birthday field.
