NO. It just kicks you out and you lose whatever you had entered. And I had been misinformed earlier, the All-Day event bug is only for voiceOver users.
A work around would be to set a start time of 12:00 AM and an end time of 11:55 PM. That is about as close as we can get to All-Day until Apple decides to fix this bug that has been there since 5.1 was released.
