Hi, The one from the mint is actually from the Bureau of Engraving and is called EyeNote. The description of this app has one glaring mistake in it. It says it is compatible with the iPod Touch 3rd gen. The 3rd gen does not have a camera. Here is the description from the app store: Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad.Requires iOS 4.0 or later. ShowMoney Description Take a photo of money/banknote/billet and ShowMoney will tell you the name, denomination and exchange-currency for this money. It's incredible cool when you get an unknown money or travel abroad. -Show you money/banknotes images in world, supporting to exchange the money to the currency you selected. -Recognises 80+ money/banknotes when you show money blow Iphone's camera. -Money name support for several languages including English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai. -Make beautiful postcard for favorite money recognition. -Requires internet connection to recognize money and update the exchange rate information. -This app should not be used to detect counterfeit currency or be solely relied upon for money identification.
