Wow, that did work. Thank you for figuring that out. The post I found may
have been for an older iPhone.
I am going to continue to use the autosleep though at night. It only takes
1 tap to set and works so well.

You can do it. When you go in to set the timer, there is a button that says
the ring tones. Click on that, and right at the end of the list, there is an
option that says stop playing. Click that and then go out and press start.
It should work.
