Hi list,
I just found the following out after downgrading my iPhone firmware.
When you restore the phone from backup, it can't restore from the latest backup. I presume this is because it doesn't like backups created with newer firmware versions being used on older firmware. Anyway, what this means is that when you go to restore, it will restore from the last backup taken when you were running the downgraded firmware.
So in my case, the newest backup that was restored was from march 9th.
Luckily its not two bad for me, as I have only lost a few texts, and I don't update my contacts and other things that much. But for those who do, perhaps you don't want to think about downgrading unless you can back up information elsewhere. I guess if you downgrade, and then upgrade again to the latest firmware it will be possible to restore from later backups, but I don't know.
